Church History
Gospel Church for All Nations (Gospel CAN) is a revitalized church ‘replant’ jointly begun by Manor Reformed Presbyterian Church (MRPC) and New Castle Chinese Evangelical Church (NCCEC) and is a member of the Heritage Presbytery affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA).
Both MRPC and NCCEC were from the Reformed tradition (Protestant Reformation) of Martin Luther (1483-1546) and John Calvin (1509-156.). MRPC was a charter member of the Heritage Presbytery.
NCCEC’s branch goes back through Hudson Taylor (1832-1905) of the China Inland Mission. Though the PCA goes back only 50 years, it was brought into being by people like Dr. L. Nelson Bell, year-round medical missionary in China and father-in-law of Dr. Billy Graham. Dr. Bell died in 1973, right after his dream became a denominational reality.
